The Centre Junior High School girls’ A-team was defeated Thursday by Hope, 29-12, at home. After scoring six points in the opening quarter, the girls had a difficult time finding the basket, scoring just six points the rest of the way.

One outstanding Hope player scored 17 points.

Cacey Simons led Centre’s scoring with four points. Anna Weber added three points, Makenzie Deines and Genesis Rudolph two each, and Carrie Carlson one.

The B-team was defeated, 12-10. Scorers were Deines four, and Kylie Beeler, Skylar Sullivan, and Genesis Rudolph two each.

The junior high girls are coached by Alan Stahlecker, who replaced Pat Schoenhofer after he resigned.
