Two Marion junior wrestlers placed at the Emporia tournament Saturday.

Hunter Helmer won the 8-year-old and younger light heavyweight class with two victories. Tyler Palic placed second in the 10 and younger 130-pound class.

Five Marion wrestlers placed in the 6 and younger division Dec. 4 at the Hillsboro Take Down Tournament.

Wyatt Helmer placed fourth in the 41-pound division. Jack Lanning placed fourth in the 42-pound division. Owen Unruh placed fourth at 46 pounds. Cross Brown placed third at 47 pounds. Paul Kimbrel placed second at 48 pounds.

Four wrestlers placed in the 8 and younger division. Tristan Armstrong placed third at 48 pounds. Gunner Brown placed third at 52 pounds. Noah Slater placed fourth at 55 pounds. Hunter won the 94-pound division.

Three wrestlers placed in the 10 and younger division. Wade Monasmith finished third at 65 pounds. Luke Lanning finished second at 104 pounds. Jarrett McLinden won the 150-pound weight class.

Two 12 and younger wrestlers placed — Jarrett Johnson, third 75 pounds and Zane Slater, fourth, 83 pounds.
