Kassebaum medals in Peabody race

Centre High School junior Nellie Kassebaum finished 16th Sept. 9 in the varsity division at the Peabody-Burns Cross-Country Invitational with a run of 18 minutes and 51 seconds. Ally Basore finished 22nd at 19:16.

Amy Makovec finished first in the junior varsity at 19:42.

Junior high school runners were Jordon Smith, 2nd, 6:04; Tanner Wiggins, 11th, 7:07; Tori Reneau, 18th, 8:59; and Jordan Miller, 22nd, 8:44. Coach Cindy Riedel said they all set new personal records.

Senior Kevin Lewis also improved his time at the high school level, finishing 35th at 22:16. Fred Vannini finished 40th at 26:22.
