Kathleen Ann Thies Kirchner, 87, passed on to eternal life on June 2, 2016.

Katie was born April 18, 1929, in Harper to Francis F. and Mildred M. Williams Thies of Marion.

Katie’s passion was nursing. She worked in local hospitals, doctors offices, and private homes. She was loved by many.

Survivors include her children, Kenneth E. Kirchner of Wichita; Kristine J. Kirchner of Castle Rock, Colorado; Karen A. Storie (and husband Richard N.) of Bennett, Colorado; and Donna K. Collins of Wichita; sisters, Joan M. Seaton of Wichita and Mary F. Creason of Dallas; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Katie was preceded in death by a son, Steven W. Kirchner; two brothers, John and James; and a sister, Elizabeth M. Donnell Stables.
