Kay E. Tharp, 62, of Rose Hill, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, lost her battle with brain cancer and was called home March 27, 2011.
Kay is the daughter of Millie Vinduska of Pilsen and the late Robert Vinduska.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 38 years, John David Tharp; daughters, Michelle Oliver and husband Dan of Derby, Tiffany McKnight and husband Randy, Emily James and husband Darrell, and Amanda and husband Josh Gibson, all of Wichita; siblings, Laurie Collins, Carol Sponsel, Lillian Vinduska, Joe Vinduska and Bob Vinduska; numerous nieces and nephews; and the loves of her life, her 15 grandchildren.
Kay was an inspiration to all; her laughter and spirit will forever be missed.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m. at Smith Mortuary, 1415 N. Rock Road, Derby.
A funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Faith Center, 2300 E. Meadowlark Boulevard, Derby.
