Kenneth H. Peterson, 92, of Herington died Sunday at his home. He was born Dec. 26, 1919, in Burdick to Birger and Anna (Johanson) Peterson.

He graduated from Diamond Valley High School in 1938 and attended Emporia State University’s business school.

He married Alice M. Laudemann on Oct. 18, 1942, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, White City. She survives of the home.

He is also survived by a son, Don Peterson of Camdenton, Mo.; a daughter, Linda Huntington of Springfield, Va.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Roy Peterson; three sisters, Lilly Strand, Esther Peterson, and Inez Schild; and his parents.

A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Herington, with Pastor Bill Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Hebron Lutheran Church, Burdick. Visitation with family is 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Herington Chapel.

Memorial funds have been established for St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Herington, Our Savior Lutheran Church of Mulvane, Hebron Lutheran Church of Burdick, and Dickinson County Hospice.
