Former transportation worker Kenneth K. Klein, 72, of Tampa died Thursday at St. Luke Hospital in Marion.

He was born Dec. 20, 1942, to Manuel and Frieda (Schmidt) Klein in Tampa. He worked for the Kansas Dept. of Transportation of Marion.

His sister, Donna Backhus of Tampa, and her family survive him.

Visitation was to be Sunday at Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion. A service was held Monday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Tampa. Interment was in Tampa Lutheran Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for St. John’s Lutheran Church.
