Marion Kiwanis Club met noon Tuesday to sing songs and give committee reports.

Members chatted and shared “happy bucks” before committee reports were presented, providing various updates on projects.

One such project recently undertaken is the K Kids Mentoring program, which is beginning at Marion Elementary School. Kiwanis members have volunteered to mentor youths who may need extra attention throughout the day. Eight members have volunteered.

Kiwanis will meet again at noon Tuesday at La Hacienda.
