Marion Kiwanis Club recently gave a $200 donation to improve the batting cage at the Marion Baseball/Softball Complex.

The net in the batting cage has deteriorated over the years, making it unsafe. Marion Baseball/Softball Boosters are trying to raise money to replace the net and add artificial turf to the cage before spring practices start for the high school teams later this month.

The boosters will run the concession stand at the Recreation Basketball Tournament this weekend with proceeds going to the batting cage project.
