Centre hosted a triangular Sept. 28 and finished 1-1, defeating White City, 25-23 and 25-19, and losing to Little River, 25-20, 19-25, and 21-25.
Bryanna Svoboda was leading scorer in the match against Little River with 14 points. Genesis Rudolph and Amanda Floyd each served for 8 points.
Rudolph set the ball 26 of 27 attempts, four resulting in kills.
The Lady Cougars struggled at the net. Allison Shields completed 28 of 36 spike attempts and nine kills. Ellie Miller completed 10 of 14, and Anna Weber was eight of 10.
Cacey Simons, Weber, and Miller had one block each.
The junior varsity split two games with Little River, 23-25 and 20-11.
White City
Leading scorers against White City were Rudolph 9, Tori Marler and Floyd 6 each, and Svoboda 4.
Weber completed all five of her spike attempts. Miller completed 11 of 12, Simons five of six, and Svoboda eight of 10. Shields delivered eight spikes including six kills.
Weber and Miller each had two blocks and Simons had one.
The junior varsity defeated White City, 25-19 and 25-16.
Following the triangular, Centre’s varsity record stood at 8-14.
The last home meet of the season for the Centre High School volleyball team was Tuesday. Parents and players were recognized.
Centre will play at White City Oct. 12.
