Playing on their home court against league rivals Tuesday, the Centre Lady Cougars snapped a long losing streak by winning matches against Peabody-Burns and Elyria.
They defeated Peabody-Burns, 25-9, 25-12, and Elyria, 25-13, 25-19.
Coach Susan Saunders was pleased with how her team played.
“I couldn’t have asked for anything better,” she said. “They did great. They were focused, and that’s what did it.”
Emily Schlesener and Kate Basore provided good blocking, and Summer Espinoza, Basore, and Shelby Pankratz played well at the net, with several spikes for kills. Katie Marler had several good serving times.
