After a disappointing trip to the Belle Plaine tournament Saturday, the Warriors volleyball team got back on track at home Tuesday.
Marion staunchly defeated Moundridge, 25-18 and 25-15, in their first Tuesday night match. The Warriors then topped off Sterling with authority, 25-16 and 25-5, to polish off the senior night competitions.
Saturday at Belle Plaine was a different story for the Warriors.
They went 1-4 for the tournament, defeating only Medicine Lodge, 25-13 and 25-8.
Marion lost to Trinity Academy, 14-25 and 19-25, and Attica, 24-26 and 19-25.
Marion’s most competitive matches were against South Barber and Belle Plaine, which went to three games each.
Marion ultimately lost to South Barber 15-25, 35-9, and 22-25, and Belle Plaine 25-16, 18-25, and 20-25.
