To the editor:

We want to say “thank you” to the Marion County Commissioners for the work done here at Marion County Lake.

Lakeshore Drive and the roads leading to the lake were “fixed” to our satisfaction. A few weeks ago, county workers patched several bad places. Last week, a new seal was applied and an overlay was placed on the surface and pressed by rollers during very hot weather, which assured a good outcome.

The Chat and Dine Club praised the new work Aug. 7. Everybody seemed to appreciate the work. I even saw a couple of residents smiling.

All looks good and dust is minimal.

Thank you for listening to our complaints and giving us the new roads.
