Lalouette-Crawford wins recount, will be District 1 county commissioner

Staff writer

An official recount Friday confirmed Lori Lalouette-Crawford will be county commissioner for District 1.

The results were made official at a Monday canvassing, with Lalouette-Crawford garnering 678 votes to independent candidate Craig Dodd’s 675.

Previous results had Lalouette-Crawford at 676 and Dodd at 675. Dodd, who requested the recount, will be charged $257.75 to cover the costs of the recount because the outcome was not overturned.

Election clerks Eileen Sieger, Ruth Lange, and Anita Brookens conducted the recount under supervision of County Clerk Tina Spencer.

Lalouette-Crawford will replace County Commissioner Roger Fleming, who is retiring. Dodd and Lalouette-Crawford were unavailable for comment Tuesday.
