LaVaughn Klose

LaVaughn A. (Christensen) Klose, 90, passed Jan. 2, 2018, at Hillsboro Community Hospital.

LaVaughn was born Oct. 4, 1927, in Marion to Ben and Mildred (Vaughn) Christensen and was a lifelong resident of Marion. LaVaughn and Eddie Klose were married in 1947 in rural Marion County.

LaVaughn is survived by her children, son Michael Klose and wife, Donna, of Hillsboro; daughter Janel Dvorak and husband, Tom, of Newton; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Her parents; husband, Eddie; an infant son; a granddaughter; and her sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Marion, with burial at Marion Cemetery following the service.
