Lee Ingalls

Lee Roy Ingalls, 90, formerly of Cedar Point, died July 21 at Morris County Hospital, Council Grove.

Born Dec. 16, 1918, in rural Chase County, to George and Alma (Stoltz) Ingalls, he served with the 997th Field Artillery during World War II. He saw action in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe, including in the Battle of the Bulge.

He worked as a mechanic at Gerald’s Repair and farmed in the Cedar Point area.

A brother, Don Ingalls, preceded him in death.

He is survived by two sisters, Viola Yoakem of Weslaco, Texas, and Pansy Oldham of Buffalo, Mo.

A graveside service was Friday at Bazaar Cemetery, Bazaar, with Bennie Holtsclaw presiding. Military honors were presented by Fort Riley Honor Guard.
