Lee Unruh

Lee M. Unruh, 89, formerly of Hillsboro, died Saturday in Newton.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Nov. 19 at Hillsboro United Methodist Church.

A former rural mail carrier, he was born June 20, 1927, to Sam J. and Mary (Wall) Unruh at Anthony.

He married Joyce Balzer on June 27, 1952, in Hillsboro; she preceded him in death in 2015.

Survivors include sons Michael Unruh of Hesston and Kelly Unruh of Wichita; daughter Lori Lohrenz of Wichita; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to the Alzheimers Association.
