James William Miesse American Legion Post 22 has a new home, 424 E. Main St. in Marion.

The site is a former optometrist’s office between Shelter Insurance and G&J Video.

In recent years, Post 22 has been involved in soldier sendoffs, homecomings, care packages, and color guards for veterans’ funerals.

The post has charters for American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion, and American Legion Riders.

The post sent Sam Ehelich, Louis Holt, Tyler Neil, and Bridget Lundy to Boys’ State and Girls’ State this summer.
