Leland H. “Lee” Bernhardt, 68, passed away Sept. 15, 2011, at the Herington Municipal Hospital.

He was born April 8, 1943, the son of Ezra and Lucille Schick Bernhardt. He was a 1961 graduate of Centre High School and served in the Army Reserves. Lee was a farmer, stockman, and hay broker.

He was united in marriage to Barbara Reiman on Nov. 1, 1974, she survives at the home. Other survivors include his mother: Lucille Bernhardt of Lost Springs; his children: Casey Clark and husband Sam of Holly Springs, NC; Jody Stuart Block of Sarcoxie, MO; and Gary Stuart and wife Teresa of Abilene; his siblings: Max Bernhardt and wife Kathy of Jackson, GA; Pat Turner and husband Roger of Salina; and Judy Kill and husband Steve of Lincolnville; and five grandchildren: Alex Clark, Max Clark, Kylie and husband Ebbie Jones, Craig Ralston, and Madelyn Stuart.

Prayer service and visitation were held on Sunday at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion. Funeral Service was held on Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lincolnville. Interment was in the Lincolnville Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established for St. John’s Lutheran Church, Lincolnville, in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion, KS, 66861.
