Leona Everett

Leona A. Everett, 94, of Hillsboro, died April 15, 2009.

Born March 2, 1915, near Aulne, she was the daughter of Bert and Viola (Honn) Fox.

She was a nursing home worker.

On Sept. 16, 1932, she married Henry Everett in Newton. He preceded her in death, as did a sister, Mattie Everett, two brothers, Ed Fox and John Fox, and a great-granddaughter, Stephanie Bina.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna Kaiser of Hillsboro; a sister, Betty Duerksen of Hillsboro, a granddaughter; two great-granddaughters; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Saturday morning at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lincolnville, with Pastor Alan Stahlecker officiating.

Burial was in Marion Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established with the church.
