Lloyd Pagenkopf

Lloyd H. Pagenkopf, 87, lifelong resident of Lincolnville, died Feb. 11, 2009, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.

He was a farmer.

Born Dec. 17, 1921, in Lincolnville, he was the son of Henry H. and Clara (Weber) Pagenkopf.

He graduated from Lincolnville High School in 1940 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

On May 19, 1946, he married Beth McRae at St. John Lutheran Church, Lincolnville. She preceded him in death June 4, 2008. A grandson also preceded him.

Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Falen of Lost Springs and Kristine Gilchrist of Abilene; a son, Mark Pagenkopf of Lost Springs; a sister, Irma Levy of Hillsboro; a brother, Roy Pagenkopf of Caldwell, Idaho; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial funds have been established with St. John Lutheran Church or the VA Center for Volunteer Services Program and may be sent in care of Penwell-Gable Funeral Home of Herington.
