Lois Miller

Lois Mae Miller, 83, of Florence, died Jan. 9, 2009, at Newton Medical Center.

Born Dec. 1, 1925, in Cass County, Mo., she was the daughter of Isaac and Maggie (Plank) Yoder.

She married Dale Miller March 9, 1947, at Newton. She was an owner of Miller Produce and supported the Florence ambulance service for nearly 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Sherman Yoder and Getrude Lee.

Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, Robert Miller of Dewey, Okla., and Tony Miller of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three daughters, Lynn Depler of Topeka, Sonya Schambron of Topeka, and Tina Miller of Wichita; a brother, Will Yoder of Lincoln, Neb.; eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services were Tuesday morning at Florence Christian Church with the Reverend Peter Banning officiating.

Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery, Florence.

A memorial fund has been established with the church.
