Lorena Kelsey

Lorena June (Janzen) Kelsey, of Wichita, former owner and founder of Lorena’s Nutrition Inn, died Nov. 15, 2010, at Reflection Living in Wichita, at the age of 87.

Lorena was born Nov. 1, 1923, in rural Canada, the daughter of Frank Kasper and Katherine (Martens) Janzen.

Survivors include her son, Otis Eugene Kelsey and wife Jacqueline of Valley Center; daughter Gloria Pankratz and husband Jay of Lenexa; son Kenneth Kelsey and wife Melodie of Wichita; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brother Earl Janzen and wife Lucy of Peabody.

She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, Otis G. Kelsey; sisters Elsie Bechthold, Wilma Christensen, and Viola Kelsey; and brothers George and Irvin Janzen.

There will be no visitation or graveside service.

Memorial services for Lorena will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at Calvary’s Rock Church, 2661 S. Meridian Ave., Wichita, followed by a luncheon after the service. The Rev. Lonny Satterfield will officiate.

Memorials have been established in her loving memory with Good Shepherd Hospice, 439 N McLean Blvd, Suite 100, Wichita KS 67203, and Calvary’s Rock Church. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
