Lorene E. Hawkinson, 94, Burdick, died Jan. 5 at Medicalodges of Herington.

She was born Nov. 4, 1916, to Emil and Martha J. (Martin) Naslund.

She was a homemaker, a member of Hebron Lutheran Church of Burdick, and a lifelong Burdick resident.

Her husband, William “Leslie” Hawkinson died Nov. 11, 1948. Five siblings have preceded her — Wilma Boggs and Stanley, Edward, and Robert Naslund.

Survivors include a son, David, of Emporia.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Hebron Lutheran Church, Burdick, with the Rev. Bill Peterson officiating.

Burial will be at Hebron Cemetery.
