Lucena Thiessen, 92, died Nov. 4 at Garland, Texas.

She was born Nov. 16, 1921 to Jacob and Anna (Wall) Seibel in Aulne.

She was preceded by her husband, Alfred Thiessen, in 2008.

Survivors include: son, Larry Thiessen of Galva; daughters, Judy Wolfe of Newton, and Carol Sachse of Garland, Texas; brothers, Wallace and Homer; a sister, Frances Quintana; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro. The family requests memorials to the church.
