Lynna W. Powers

Lynna W. Powers, 98, of Marion and formerly of Yates Center died Oct. 10 at St. Luke Living Center in Marion.

She was born March 28, 1913, at Toronto to daughter of Adam and Mary (Liebau) Stock.

She married Max A. Powers on June 15, 1942, in Morovia, Calif. She and her husband were entrepreneurs. He preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 2001. Lynna later moved to Marion to be close to her children.

She was also preceded by two brothers; five sisters; a son-in-law, Ben Taylor; and a daughter-in-law Kim (Gordon) Powers.

She is survived by one daughter, Macquelyn “Macky” Taylor of Marion; one son, Michael Powers of Marion; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister-in-law, Doris Stock of Coyville.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Campbell Funeral Home in Yates Center with burial following in Yates Center Cemetery.

Following the burial service, family and friends will gather at the Bressner Building in Yates Center.

Memorial contributions may be made to Golden Rod Chapter #163, O.E.S. or the Yates Center United Methodist Church and may be sent in care of Campbell Funeral Home, PO Box 188, Yates Center, KS 66793.
