Mabel A. Waner, 96, of Warrensburg, Mo., formerly of Florence died Sept. 19 at Warrensburg Manor Care Center.

She was born Oct. 10, 1914, in Aulne, to Ed and Lena (Black) Winkley. On Oct. 4, 1938, she married Virgil Waner in Florence.

She worked as a seamstress at the Kinder Manufacturing Furniture Company in Newton until her retirement and was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Florence.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Gary Waner of Warrensburg; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Joe Winkley; and one sister, Florence Meirowsky.

Services were Sept. 24 at Holy Family Parish, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Florence. Interment was at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Florence.
