An unresponsive man was pronounced dead at Hillsboro Cove on Oct. 15.

The man, of Wichita, was 73. The death was unattended and appeared to be of natural causes, Sheriff Robert Craft said.

He was found by a neighboring camper, who thought it was odd the man hadn’t come outside of his camper yet, Craft said.

Marion EMTs were dispatched to the campsite at Marion Lake at 10:49 a.m. The EMTs were on the scene for nearly an hour and a half, returning to the station at 12:25 p.m.
