Marian Kandt

Marian R. Kandt, 78, of Salina, died May 16 in Salina.

She was born Aug. 25, 1932, in Lincolnville, to Arnold and Lillian (Kaiser) Riffel.

On June 30, 1963, she married Harry “Cal” Kandt in Herington.

She was an office manager for an insurance adjustor and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Her parents, sister Ruth, and granddaughter Adrienne Serrault preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband Harry “Cal” of Salina; a son, Mark Davis of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Deborah Serrault of El Dorado and Rebecca Gulzow of Salina; a sister, Joyce Stevens of Irvine, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services were Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Salina. The Rev. Robert Schaedel officiated.

Graveside services were at Lincolnville Cemetery, Lincolnville.

Memorial funds have been established with the church and The Lutheran Hour in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N Eighth St, Salina KS 67401.
