CORRESPONDENTS:   Marion Assisted Living

Among the usual bingo and card games, the Marion Assisted Living Community had some extra entertainment the last few months.

Keith Allison and Jerry Henderson performed in February and Bennie Holtsclaw performed in March.

St. Patrick’s Day was celebrated with a scavenger hunt featuring a leprechaun’s pot of gold. Rita Kraus was the first person to find everything. The afternoon was spent doing trivia, learning facts about St. Patrick’s Day, and enjoying Blarney Stones cake and green punch. Later that afternoon, residents sat outside and watched the Girl Scouts do their balloon lift.

For Easter, Ginger Becker’s Marion Elementary School class dropped by April 4. They wrote stories and read their tales to us. They also hunted for Easter eggs.

We had a some changes in the Marion Assisted Living Community. Marvin Meisinger is our new maintenance man. We also have a new hairdresser — Debbie Willingham of Miles by Design.
