Marion Assisted Living had a fun-filled September with Sept. 9 to 15 being National Assisted Living Week. Residents celebrated with Hawaiian day — everyone wore festive island cloths. There was a balloon launch with the everyone launching 21 balloons in the air. On pajama day they had root beer floats. On mix/match day they had different snacks all afternoon. On crazy-hat day they had a cook-out. The week ended with a patriotic day. Anita Hancock brought her students in and they sang for the residents.

Lila and Cranford Ensey celebrated their 68th anniversary. Rita Kraus and Dorothy Thouvenell celebrated birthdays.

With the weather getting a little cooler, residents are hoping to get in a few more bus rides and hope to maybe squeeze in one more picnic if the weather allows.
