Marion E. Hamilton, 93, of Hillsboro died Oct. 10 at Parkside Home in Hillsboro.

He was born Sept. 24, 1918, in Minden, Neb., to Edgar M. and Jessie S. (Sallee) Hamilton. He was a public school teacher.

He married Maxine Hough on June 10, 1949, in Olsburg. She preceded him in death in 1991. He married Leona Hazelton on March 13, 1993, in Syracuse. She preceded him in death in 2005.

He is survived by one son, David of Old Hickory, Tenn.; two daughters, Lois Schuyer of Lincoln, Neb., and Nancy Hornbaker of Holcomb; two stepsons, Timothy Hazelton of Topeka and James Hazelton of Topeka; one stepdaughter, Kim Bennett of Lawrence; a sister, Martha Adair of Halstead; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Parkview Church, Hillsboro, with Pastor Roy Keller officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Syracuse Cemetery, Syracuse.

His family will receive guests from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Jost Funeral Home, Hillsboro.

A memorial fund has been established with the Gideons.
