March 21: School zones were patrolled. Officers responded to a disturbance at a downtown business. A theft was reported. An officer attended city meetings. Emergency medical services personnel received assistance with a call.

March 22: School zones were patrolled. An individual was fingerprinted. A violation of the city’s nuisance ordinance was investigated. A theft was reported. An emergency message was delivered. An arrest warrant was served. A dog complaint was checked.

March 23: School zones were patrolled. An attempt was made to serve a civil process. An arrest warrant was served. Several reported were filed of a telephone scam. Community service workers were supervised. Assistance was provided to Social and Rehabilitative Services with a follow-up visit.

March 24: School zones were patrolled. A burglary was reported. A telephone harassment complaint was filed. Criminal damage to property was investigated. A sheriff’s deputy received assistance with a domestic dispute.

March 25: School zones were patrolled. An officer met with a court services officer regarding home visits and assisted a court services officer in locating clients. A burglary was reported. An officer responded to OASIS for an out-of-control student. Assistance was provided with a K-9 officer at Marion High School and OASIS. A suspicious person was checked in the 100 block of West Main Street. Assistance was provided to a sheriff’s deputy with the investigation of an illegal party.

March 26: A funeral escort was provided. Officers participated in firearms training. Assistance was provided to EMS personnel and sheriff’s deputies. A stolen vehicle was recovered.

March 27: Officers conducted traffic control. Marion firefighters received assistance with a call. Assistance was provided to Florence police with a follow-up investigation.

March 28: School zones were patrolled. Civil process was served. A reckless driving complaint was checked.

March 29: School zones were patrolled. A motorist received assistance with a locked vehicle.

March 30: School zones were patrolled. Officers attended court hearings. A cougar was reported in Jex Addition. A court services officer received assistance with home visits.

Thursday: School zones were patrolled. A court services officer received assistance with home visits. An officer responded to a report of a suicidal person and provided transportation. A telephone harassment complaint was reported. A domestic dispute was investigated.

Friday: School zones were patrolled. Officers attended training and responded to OASIS for an out-of-control student. A dog was reported running at-large. A non-injury accident was investigated. Officers conducted firearms training. A barking dog complaint was filed.

Saturday: An intoxicated person was reported and checked. Students were checked for alcohol consumption at Marion High School prom and after-prom party.

Officers issued 10 warnings, served a notice to appear, and made two arrests.
