POLICE REPORT

Marion Police Department reported the following activities. Officers issued nine warnings and six notices to appear, and made two arrests.

May 17 — Officers worked on reports and met with a concerned citizen. Response was given to a dog running at-large. Follow-up investigations were conducted.

May 18 — School zones were patrolled. A burglary was reported. Officers worked on reports and a bicycle safety program. A parking complaint was checked. Vehicle Identification Number inspections were conducted. Lewd and lascivious behavior was reported. Assistance was provided to a juvenile at St. Luke Hospital.

May 19 — School zones were patrolled. VIN inspections were provided. Officers worked on reports and conducted follow-up investigations. A criminal threat was reported.

May 20 — School zones were patrolled. An attempt was made to serve a warrant. A welfare check was conducted. An arrest warrant was served. Traffic stops and truck inspections were made. Officers worked on reports.

May 21 — School zones were patrolled. Response was given to an animal complaint. VIN inspections were provided. A drug arrest was made. Officers worked on reports and checked on reports of underage drivers.

May 22 — An individual was arrested on drug charges. No other information was made available.

May 23 — Vehicle maintenance was conducted. A parking complaint was checked. Traffic stops and follow-up investigations were conducted. Officers worked on reports. A noise complaint was reported. A Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy received assistance with a DUI investigation.

May 24 — A reckless driving complaint was checked. Officers worked on reports and conducted follow-up investigations. Traffic stops were conducted. Response was given to an activated alarm. A citizen received assistance with a vehicle problem.

May 25 — Officers worked on reports. A welfare check was provided. Criminal damage to property was reported.

May 26 — Officers attended a meeting and training at Marion Reservoir. Response was given to Marion Middle School regarding a complaint. Traffic stops were conducted. A non-injury accident was investigated.

May 27 — VIN inspections were provided. Office maintenance was conducted. Criminal depravation was reported. Officers attended court hearings and worked on reports. Response was given to a suicidal individual.

May 28 — Follow-up investigations and VIN inspections were conducted. Officers met with a concerned citizen and worked on reports. An non-injury accident was investigated. A court services officer received assistance with home visits. A reckless driving complaint was checked.

May 29 — Radar was run on North Roosevelt Street. Officers attended court hearings. EMS received assistance with a call. Welfare checks were provided. VIN inspections were provided. A road hazard was checked on U.S.-56. Kansas Highway Patrol received assistance with a blood run. Traffic stops were made. A reckless driving complaint was checked. Bar checks were conducted.

May 30 — A non-injury accident was investigated. A sheriff’s deputy received assistance with a DUI investigation. Traffic stops were conducted. Officers met with a concerned citizen and responded to a report of a man with a gun at Marion County Lake. Assistance was provided to KHP.
