Marion High School competed in the varsity scholars’ bowl meet Thursday at Sedgwick High School. The team finished with a record of 3-6.

The Warriors defeated Great Bend, 20-0, Garden Plain, 50-20, and Valley Center, 50-30.

The team lost to Remington, 20-50, Norwich, 20-30, Conway Springs, 10-50, Inman, 0-60, Cheney, 20-35, and Haven, 30-50.

Sophomore Zach Robson led the team with 130 points. Juniors Angel Funk and Elizabeth Goentzel scored 50 and 30 points respectively. Senior Beth Nesser added 10.
