It was National Fork Day on Oct. 28. Tiny forks were displayed. Diners also heard the history of forks including the fact that forks were considered works of the devil and learned a fork song.

Also Oct. 28, there was a workshop with numerous presentations.

Mary Ann Timm’s 85th birthday was celebrated Nov. 1. Mary Ann and husband Ivanlee also celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary by providing cake.

Because of the annual meeting in September, our congregate average for that month was 56.

Connie Fisher brought treats Nov. 3 for her birthday.

Merle Ecklund played music on his accordion Nov. 3 and Deb Harrington provided vocal accompaniment. She sang some Christmas songs since the pair wouldn’t be performing at the center in December.

Diners are encouraged to share Mickey Mouse souvenirs Nov. 17 in recognition of the cartoon character’s birthday Nov. 18.
