The center will host several extra events in March, including a candidate forum March 14, sponsored by the Marion County Record.

Walk Kansas kicks off Sunday and the Senior Sensations team is getting organized for the event.

There will be an AARP driving course 1 to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Those interested in taking the course may call the center to sign up.

Seniors will go to the Crown Uptown Theater March 25 to see a matinee performance of “All Shook Up.” To sign up, call Shirley Moore at (620) 382-3758.

Treats were brought to celebrate birthdays of Ivanlee Timm Feb. 18, Evenlyn Obermeyer Feb. 19, and Virginia Downing Feb. 22.

Sue Clough reported on the quilters and their progress.

The Rev. Faye Wagner gave a presentation on Noah’s Ark, displaying her collection and sharing lessons learned, such as “Don’t miss the boat.”

There will be no program March 10 as center staff will be attending training in Manhattan.
