Unseasonably warm weather has prompted people to bring flowers to Marion Senior Center. Shirley Bowers brought in two hyacinth blooms that were very sweet smelling. Shirley Moore brought in tulips, and it took three people to get them ready, cut, and put in an appropriate vase.

Head cook Andrea Schadel and site manager Janet Bryant went to Manhattan on March 22 for mandatory yearly training. Sue Clough covered for Bryant and Barb Bitner cooked while they were gone.

Pearl Helmer celebrated her birthday March 26 at the center.

Mary Ann Timm brought in a pencil drawing she had done of the front section of the senior center.

Volunteers met on March 26 and prepared the quarterly newsletter for mailing. Volunteers included Wanda Hamm, Evelyn Jewett, Fred Puttroff Jr., Shirley Moore, Nora Richter, Mary Ann Timm, Elsie Reiswig, Sue Clough, and Al and Gloria Ash.

Amy Kjellin gave a presentation about Free Class Day presented by Butler Community College of Marion.

There are always programs at 12:20 p.m. Wednesdays at the center.
