An efficient crew of volunteers helped bag USDA food commodities Oct. 11 after Gary and Karen Chaput went to Council Grove to get them.
Those who helped bag were Shirley Moore, Gene Winkler, Evelyn Jewett, Jim Osborne, Madonna Schafers, and Sue Clough.
Senior Center Day was Oct. 17. Marion Police officer Mike Stone presented the program. He brought in drug and tracking dogs Raven and Kahti. They demonstrated their ability to sniff out a substance hidden in one of the cabinets.
Plan on wearing a costume or mask on Halloween. Patrons will sing pumpkin carols and tell frightening stories.
