One seat is open on the bus going to the Crown Uptown Theater on Dec. 13 in Wichita to see “White Christmas.” Anyone interested should call the Marion Senior Center to reserve that last seat.

The senior center was open on Veterans Day and patrons took a quiz about that day.

Donna Kreutziger, president of Marion Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, came to present a quilt made by that group. It was given to Darrell Weigart, one of a number of veterans honored at the VFW post.

Seniors talked about pickles and did a pickle crossword puzzle to celebrate National Pickle Day on Nov. 14.

Jeremiah Lange, pastor at Marion Presbyterian Church, gave a program on their mission trip to Haiti.

A Marion County senior center managers meeting took place in Peabody where meal numbers and programs provided were reported.

On Nov. 28, Jackie Volbrecht will talk about Circles of Hope.
