Cookout to replace snow day

The center has planned a cookout for June 29 to make up one of the days it was closed because of snow.
Evelyn Jewett was welcomed back after a long recuperation at home.
Fred Puttroff celebrated his 60th birthday June 3. Mary Hett brought homemade cookies for treats.
Elsie Reiswig, who gets meals on wheels, recently sent back a bunch of yellow irises with the driver.
Mary Lake presented June 5. She has written a novel titled, “Departings.” She told about the publishing process and then read an excerpt from the book. A copy is available to be checked out. Margaret Pickering, Mary’s classmate, was a guest.
Mary Rogers brought in photos of her paintings of local landmarks.
Senior Center Day is June 19. A program will follow lunch.

Friday — Taco salad, refried beans, fruit.
Monday — Beef tips, noodles, spinach salad, sherbet, whole-wheat rolls.
Tuesday — Ham steak, baked potatoes and gravy, stewed tomatoes, fruit crisp, biscuits.
June 19 — Oven-fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, mixed vegetables, fruit, whole-wheat rolls.
June20 — Chicken and rice casserole, peas, fruit, whole-wheat rolls.
