The next day Norma Kline brought homemade cookies for her birthday.

The center had another big food giveaway Jan. 11. It included 500 pounds of baked goods, potatoes, oranges, apples, bananas, and chicken quarters. The Kansas Food Bank provided the food, brought by Gene Winkler.

Robert Carlton spoke after lunch about the five wishes people have for their decision making for medical care when they cannot verbalize a response themselves.

Residents are welcome to come to the center Jan. 28 when Ted Hayes, of the Kansas Sports Hall-of-Fame in Newton, will present a program.

The United Methodist Women, of Eastmoor United Methodist Women, of Eastmoor Methodist Church will have a Kansas Day pioneer meal at 1 p.m. Jan. 29 at the Church.
