Marion Middle School fielded two seventh-grade and two eighth-grade teams Monday at the Peabody Scholars’ Bowl.

The seventh-grade A-team posted a 5-0 record to capture first place in their division. They defeated Peabody A 60-0, Canton Galva 40-35, Peabody B 100-30, Centre 80-40, and Marion B 50-35.

Larry Zieammermann led scoring with 290 points, followed by Lilly Collett, 30; and Michaela Regnier and Drew Helmer, 10 each.

The eighth-grade A-team posted a 4-1 record to take second place in their division. In addition to earning 50 points in a ghost round, they defeated Peabody B 90-10, Centre 60-40, and Marion B 50-15. They lost to Canton-Galva 50-35.

Colin Williams led scoring with 210 points, followed by Caleb Hett, 50, Jack Schneider, 30, and Corbin Wheeler and Evan Calhoun, 10 each.
