Martha V. Brown, 88, died Jan. 25, 2012, at Salem Home in Hillsboro.

She was born Sept. 25, 1923, in Elk to Carl and Emma (Mau) Mauderly. She did domestic work.

She married Dorman Brown on Dec. 8, 1942. He preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, John Mauderly and an infant twin sister.

She is survived by a son, Ronald G. Brown of Hillsboro; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service was Friday at Prairie Grove Cemetery, Cottonwood Falls, with Pastor Jeff Wintermote officiating. Visitation was Thursday at Jost Funeral Home, Hillsboro.
