Mary Ann Biehler

Graveside services for Mary Ann Biehler, 80, of McPherson, who died Aug. 29 at McPherson Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. today at St. John Nepomucene Cemetery, Pilsen. A burial mass was held this morning at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, McPherson.

Born March 5, 1937, to Harry R. and Irene Mary (Belton) Miller in Durham, she graduated from Lincolnville High School in 1955. She attended Hutchinson Community College and graduated from Friends University, Wichita. She and Duane Biehler were married May 18, 1957.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, McPherson, where she was a member of Altar Society and served her church in other capacities throughout the years.

Biehler worked briefly as a nurse aide and then established a career in the pharmaceuticals industry, retiring as a contract manufacturing analyst for Abbott Labs.

She is survived by sons Timothy Biehler and Steven Biehler, both of Herington; Bradley Biehler of Towanda; Christopher Biehler of McPherson; and Ronald Biehler of Erie, Colorado; siblings Dennis Miller of Derby; Harriet Bina of Marion; Douglas Miller of Bonner Springs; and Sandra Miller of Wichita; 12 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 15 step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant son.

Memorials have been established with The Fuse Foundation, Fr. Kapaun Guild, and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
