Mary K. Del Vecchio

Mary K. Del Vecchio, 60, passed away Aug. 11 at her home in Peabody. She was a member of Gracepoint Church, Peabody.

Services were held Aug. 17 at the church.

Mary was born Aug. 27, 1954. She graduated from an all-girls school in Corpus Christi, Texas, and received her bachelor’s degree in business management from Friends University with an emphasis in dietary nutrition.

Her passion was cooking for family, friends, and strangers, with an open ear and a patient smile. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, serving coffee and snacks at the Hub, and entertaining all who wanted to sit and talk.

Mary started a ministry with the Westview Coffee Club, continuing the tradition of taking care of those in need and always giving of herself for others.

She was married to the love of her life, John Del Vecchio, for 32 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mary Grob, and by her brothers, Robert and Carl Grob.

She is survived by her kids, Tonny and Lonny Del Vecchio, Doe Ann Hague, Tina Partridge, Roy and Carl Harr, and Sonia Kittle; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
