Mary Windsor

Mary E. Windsor passed away June 30, 2009, at Promise Regional Medical Center in Hutchinson.

Mary was born Nov. 30, 1938, in Peabody, to Theodore and Ruth (Uphoff) Lackey.

She had worked as an executive secretary for Jefferson Life Insurance Company and Collins Industries. She was owner/operator of Windsor Furniture Haven.

She was a member of LaCanden Club and attended Congregational United Church of Christ in Haven.

On Aug. 23, 1958, she married Wayne W. Windsor of Peabody. He survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Brian of Oklahoma City and David of Stillwater, Minn.; two daughters, Eileen Beavers and husband John of Chapman, and Angela Curran and husband Kevin of Kansas City, Mo.; five sisters, Dorothy Knust of Richardson, Texas, Mildred Shoaf of Lexington, N.C., Pat Knust-Henderson of Peabody, Karen Curtis of Lakewood, Colo., and Jan Davis of Manhattan; and two grandchildren, Tom and Maggie Curran.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Marjorie St. Clair, and two brothers, Ted and Bill.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Monday at Congregational United Church of Christ in Haven with the Rev. Sam Askew officiating.

Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.
