Matzes to celebrate 71st anniversary

Raymond R. and Eunice (Janzen) Matz will celebrate their 71st wedding anniversary Thursday.

They were married June 22, 1946, in Hillsboro.

Raymond was owner of Matz Upholstery for six years and a rural mail carrier for 27 years.

Eunice was a secretary in the Hillsboro school district for 26 years and later served at the Hillsboro Senior Center for 15 years.

Their children and their spouses are Rick and Ruth Matz of Wichita, Ray and Pat Matz of Olathe, Reginald Matz of Hillsboro, and Eydie and Mike Fellows of Newton.

They have six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
