Maurice J. Stroda, 82, died Oct. 13 at Mercy Regional Health Center, Manhattan.
Born Dec. 31, 1926, to Joseph and Pauline (Schuster) Stroda, he was married Aug. 31, 1948, to Margaret Vinduska in Pilsen.
He worked at Beechcraft, Boeing Aircraft, and was a Tri-County Telephone Technician. Stroda was a founding member of the Ramona Rural Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Leroy.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret of Ramona; five sons, Tom of Austin, Texas, Terry of Spring, Texas, Bob of Salina, Arthur of Ramona, and Jim of Plainville; three daughters, Marilyn of Andover, Elaine Carpentier of Salina, and Jane Staats of Ramona; a sister, Evelyn Anderson of Fayetteville, Ark.; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Services were Thursday at St. John Nepomucene Church in Pilsen.
Memorial funds have been established with the Father Kapaun Guild and the Ramona Memorial Bench Fund in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm St., Marion.
