Thad and Janie (Hett) Meierhoff, who are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Valentine’s Day, will host an open house in honor of their gold anniversary Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Marion Christian Church.

They request no gifts, but anyone with a memory of Thad and Janie is encouraged to send a card so the memories can be shared. Cards should be sent to Thad and Janie Meierhoff’s residence: 402 S Cedar St, Marion KS 66861.

Thad and Janie both graduated from Marion High School and have lived in Marion County their entire lives. They are both retired and enjoy spending time with their eight grandchildren.

Their children include Chris Meierhoff, who has two children, Brandon and Erin of Marion, with his wife Kathy; Denise Carter, who has three children, Callie, Camden, and Carly of El Dorado, with her husband Todd; Christian Petersen, who has three children, Austin, Landon, and Mason of Marion, with his wife Stacey; and Cecil Meierhoff, who is deceased.
